CARPE DIEM!

Visit our 30-acre wilderness playground with a stunning backdrop of the Cabinet Mountains

- a perfect view of God's handiwork!

There is so much to do onsite for the entire family including a leisurely walk (or snowshoe pending time of year) on our nature trail that meanders acres and acres of woods, pet and feed our animals (3 fun dogs, a few pigs, and lots of chickens), take a dip in the neighboring swimming pool, hot tub and pond (great for both fishing, swimming and jumping off the big rock in the summer and ice-skating and hockey in the winter). Soak under our little waterfall and roast marshmallows around a terrific fire pit that's sure fun any time of year!  Of course, downtown Sandpoint and the lure and attractions from here to Canada are fabulous as well! You are centrally located within minutes of outdoor entertainment!

With so many great activities to keep you busy for days (onsite as well as downtown and the surrounding area), one night won't be enough! Of course, we're always happy to provide you with maps to direct you to nearby fabulous hikes and recommend terrific places to dine, see, and do all the great places our area has to offer!

HIKING AND BIKING
THE POND:FISH, SWIM, BOAT
SKI,SNOWSHOE, SLEIGH RIDE

Our nature trail is an easy 26 minute walk through tall cedars. Stop and see the interesting rock and tree formations. We named sections of the path after those who helped forge the initial system and hand painted signs in commemoration. Watch out for the resident moose! If you are lucky, you just might see her!

NATURE TRAILS

Our pond is 12' deep and stocked with bass and sunfish! Since it is springfed, it is clean and pristine! Take a dip, jump from the big rock, boat or paddleboard.  This almost 1 acre refreshing pool of water is a natural draw for wildlife, too!

Winter is extra fun around here! We boast terrific wildlife and bird watching or take a set of snowshoes around the property. Of course, there are cross country and downhill skiing options only minutes away. And for those who want a little romance, have us arrange a horse drawn carriage at our neighboring friend's dude ranch! Of course, cocoa and fireside chats post a hot tub soak are a welcome part of any winter night!

There are over 200 acres of mountain bike and hiking trails within a 10 minute walk from the Retreat. From flat, short and easy walks (including the nature trail located on the property) to wonderful hikes to lakes and great views, beginner and expert athlete alike will enjoy the North Idaho wilderness! Schweitzer Ski Resort located only 5 miles to the base has amazing trails and you can take a bike on the chairlift for an extra boost!
